Right to Match (RTM) — IPL-Style Player Retention
Exclusive feature: Let teams retain their players by matching the winning bid.
What is Right to Match (RTM)?
In IPL, teams use RTM to retain players from their previous squad. When another team wins the bid, the previous team can match to keep the player.
How it works in CricSmart:
- Mark players as "RTM eligible" (previous season's squads)
- If Team A wins bid for RTM player previously with Team B...
- Team B gets 30 seconds to match or let go
- If matched, Team B keeps player at winning bid price
- If not, Team A gets the player
This rewards team loyalty and adds IPL-level drama!
